Kennedy was arrested April 25 after an altercation with his brother, a deputy sheriff, at their mother’s home on Carroll County Road 107 west of Eureka Springs.
After his arrest, Kennedy was booked into the Carroll County Detention Center on felony charges of terroristic threatening, residential burglary and second-degree battery as well as two misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault on a family or household member. He was released May 1 on a $100,000 bond.

Carroll County prosecuting attorney Tony Rogers recused from the case. A special prosecutor, Jack McQuary, was appointed.
