LeAnn Morrissey, daughter of Carol Ann Engskov of Berryville. was featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday, May 3.
Morrissey is the founder of Operation Shower, an organization that provides love and support for pregnant military moms around the world. Operation Shower brings these women together to help them celebrate their special occasion by providing them with a shower box full of gifts.
“This program is designed to help these women feel loved and know they are not alone during this special time in their life,” Morrissey said.
Morrissey was born on a military base in Germany and her mom was separated from friends and family.
More recently, Morrissey’s deployed uncle was separated for the first six months from his child, and that was the inspiration for Morrissey to begin Operation Shower.
During the show, Clarkson surprised Morrissey with a surprise visit from a mother who was showered by Operation Shower during the pandemic. The mother was very appreciative to Morrissey for the support she received from Operation Shower. Clarkson then announced that a check for $25,000 would be given in support of Operation Shower.
