Carson McMellon made seven three-pointers and scored 25 points to lead Berryville to a 5625 season-opening victory over Green Forest in junior high basketball action on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
Bryce Smith added nine points for Berryville, which made 12 three-pointers and led 33-17 at halftime.
Grady Massengale led Green Forest with 10 points.
Berryville improved to 2-0 with a 54-27 victory over Johnson County Westside on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the Ozark Tournament. McMellon scored 16 points, including four three-pointers, and C.T. Hicks added 15 for Berryville, which scored 22 points in the second quarter and led 26-20 at halftime.
Hicks had eight first-half points, while Mc-Mellon scored 13 points in the second half.
