James “Jimmy” Robert Bickel of Springdale, Arkansas was born in Laredo, Texas on August 12, 1950 to Robert and Emma (Wilson) Bickel.

Jimmy passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Springdale at the age of 72.

Jimmy was an avid sports fan who loved the Cowboys, Cardinals and the Razorbacks. He coached Babe Ruth for many years, was the owner of Hot Corner Sports and was an avid baseball card collector. Jimmy loved his family the most and truly enjoyed spending time on his farm. He loved animals and especially his dogs.

_e luckiest day of his life was when he married Sheri on March 20, 1973, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his sons, Ivan Bickel of Berryville, Arkansas and Seth Bickel and his wife LaTisha of Addison, Texas; two grandchildren, Ivie and Mason Bickel of Berryville, Arkansas; brother, Kenny Bickel of Montana; sister, Becky Collins and her husband Steve of Texas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emma Bickel.

A memorial service was 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 12, 202,2 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel.
