James France PlumleeJames France Plumlee, 89, passed away July 21, 2023 at home. He was born in the Boyd Community near Oak Grove, Arkansas to James T. and Grace (Sooter) Plumlee on Oct. 14, 1933.
He lived on the farm until he was 22 years old. He was united in marriage to Joeann (Ray) Plumlee in 1954 at Antioch Church. He worked in Kansas City, Missouri for a couple years before moving to California.
He worked at different gas stations in Lancaster, California before going to work for Little Oil Co. and retired from there after 33 years. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Lancaster for almost 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Joeann of the home, over 68 years. A daughter, Belinda and Dan Nygaard of Fort Collins, Colorado; a son, Jim C. Plumlee in Lancaster, California; a daughter, Sandra and Bruce King of Springfield, Missouri; and give grandchidren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Grace Plumlee and one son, Steven Plumlee.
