Informational session offers help for artists seeking grants

Posted

The Artists 360 program , a program of The Mid-America Arts Alliance, provides grants for local artists. Its aim is to identify and elevate the region’s leading artists.

The Eureka Springs Arts Council will host an information session from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at The Auditorium in Eureka Springs to help artists with the application process.

The session will be facilitated by David Wayne Reed from Mid-America Arts Alliance.

Applications are open through June 30. Artists must live in Carroll County to be eligible for the grant.

The program began in 2018 as a three-year pilot that provided grants to 60 artists of all disciplines. It was renewed and expanded to include additional grants in 2021.

The program provides grants of $7,500 to 14 practicing professional artists and $1,500 grants to six student artists.

It also provides five $15,000 Community Activator Grants for artists or artist-led collectives, and a $25,000 Creative Impact Award to an individual artist in the region.

This year’s program will also include a series of free professional development workshops and information sessions, which will feature tips on grant writing and the submission process.
