Why are you seeking this office, and what experience or perspective best prepares you to serve effectively?
“I am seeking this office because Carroll County deserves leadership that is present, practical, and focused on results. I care deeply about our community, our schools, our families, and our future, and I want to ensure our values are represented honestly and effectively in Little Rock.
“As a public school teacher, I see firsthand how state policies affect students, parents, and working families. That experience gives me a grounded, common-sense perspective on education, workforce development, and public safety. I understand the challenges facing rural Arkansas because I live them every day.
“My service as a Justice of the Peace has given me handson experience with budgeting, local government, and responsible decision-making. I’ve worked to manage taxpayer dollars wisely and solve real problems.
“Most importantly, I listen, stay accessible, and always put people first.”
What do you see as the most important issue facing your district right now, and what specific actions would you take to address it if elected?
“The most important issue facing our district right now is protecting opportunity for working families while keeping our rural communities strong. Too many people are struggling with rising costs, limited job opportunities, and access to quality healthcare and education.
“If elected, I will focus on growing good-paying local jobs, supporting small businesses, and strengthening workforce training so young people can build careers without leaving home. I will fight to protect rural schools and ensure they are properly funded and supported. I will also work to expand access to affordable healthcare and improve infrastructure, including roads and broadband, which are essential for economic growth.
“As a legislator, I will be accessible, listen to constituents, and work with any and everyone to deliver practical solutions that improve daily life for families in our district.
How do you approach budgeting, taxpayer dollars and long-term financial responsibility at the level of government you are seeking to serve?
“I approach budgeting with the same mindset families and small businesses use every day: live within your means, plan ahead, and spend wisely. Taxpayer dollars should be treated with respect, because every dollar comes from someone who worked hard to earn it.
“As a Justice of the Peace, I have gained real experience reviewing budgets, setting priorities, and making tough decisions to ensure essential services are funded without wasteful spending. I believe government must focus first on core responsibilities like public safety, infrastructure, and education, before expanding into new programs.
“I support long-term financial planning that reduces debt, builds responsible reserves, and prepares for economic downturns. I also believe in transparency and accountability, so citizens can see clearly how their money is being used.
“My goal is to be a careful steward of public funds— protecting taxpayers today while ensuring financial stability for future generations.”
