Several Carroll County students have been named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s and Chancellor’s Lists in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Local students named to both the Chancellor’s and Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester were Amelia Thurman and Eva Weege, both of Berryville; Alassandra Holsted of Green Forest and Heather Wilson of Eureka Springs.

Named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester were Kaitlyn Pearson and Hannah Youngblood, both of Berryville; Andrew Engel of Green Forest; and Rory Evans and Kelli Ladwig, both of Eureka Springs.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, students achieved at least a 3.75 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours. To qualify for the Chancellor’s List, students must also achieve at least a 4.00 grade-point average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours.

••• Samuel Ball of Berryville has been named to the Deans’ List for the fall 2023 semester at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss.

To be named to the Deans’ List, a student must have achieved a GPA between 3.5 and 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

••• Robert Bartos of Berryville has been named to the Dean’s List and the Chancellor’s List for the fall 2023 semester at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must earn at least nine credit hours and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA. To be named to the Chancellor’s List, a student must have completed at least nine credit hours with a 3.9 GPA or higher.

Katie Brisbee of Holiday Island has been awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in human environmental sciences from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. The school held commencement ceremonies on Dec. 16, 2023.

Jalyssa Beavers of Berryville has been named to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List (Distinguished) at the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. Beavers is majoring in psychology. To qualify for the Dean’s List (Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.500 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Ben Jones and Max Jones, both of Oak Grove, have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester at Harding University in Searcy.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher gradepoint average and no incompletes.

Ben Jones is a sophomore studying computer science. Max Jones is a senior studying history.

••• Ethan Spiess of Berryville received a Master of Business Administration degree in management and business ethics and James Dean of Berryville received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in secondary education from Harding University in Searcy during commencement ceremonies on Dec. 16.
