Officer Andres Lemus has been promoted to sergeant over criminal investigations for the Green Forest Police Department.
Lemus began as a patrolman for the GFPD in July 2018 after previously serving at the Carroll County Detention Center. Lemus showed an interesting in working criminal investigations and was promoted to detective in 2021.
“Due to his work ethic and hard work along with his drive to always become better at his job, I feel he has earned his promotion to Sergeant over Criminal Investigations on this 19th day of January 2024,” Green Forest police chief John Bailey wrote in a memo to Mayor Don McNeely announcing the promotion. “Congratulations to Sgt. Andres Lemus. And I thank you for your service to the people of Green Forest.”
