Green Forest girls lose 2

The Green Forest Lady Tigers are off to an 0-2 start this season, but the Lady Tigers have been competitive in both games.

Green Forest opened the season with a 61-51 loss to visiting Yellville- Summit on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Grim Gym.

Yellville-Summit led 29-26 at halftime and 43-38 after three quarters.

Senior forward Glorina Langinbelik scored 15 points to lead five Lady Tigers with at least six. Junior Gina Gonzalez added nine while sophomores Johneese Smalley and Lydia Russell added seven points apiece and sophomore Kayla Lozano added six.

On Friday, Nov. 11, the Lady Tigers lost to Jasper, 61-48.

Green Forest will play a pair of road games this week, traveling to Berryville on Tuesday and to Cotter on Friday.
