Senior Brayden Compton scored 18 points to lead four Green Forest players in double figures as the Tigers jumped out to an early lead and went on to a 66-56 victory over Cotter in the consolation round of the Anstaff Bank Bev Stone Memorial Border Classic on Thursday, Nov. 30, at Omaha.
Hesten Maybee added 15 points for the Tigers while Zak Watson and Ajay Strain scored 13 apiece for the Tigers, who avenged a loss to the Warriors earlier this season. Watson had 10 rebounds and Strain grabbed eight.
Green Forest led 16-11 at the end of the first quarter and 3324 at halftime.

The New School scored 37 points off turnovers and led by 18 points at a halftime in a win over Green Forest on Friday, Dec. 1, in Fayetteville.
Ajay Strain had 14 points and seven rebounds for Green Forest, while Sebastian Holsted scored 13 points and Brayden Compton added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
