The Annual Green Forest Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, March 30. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. in the old gym on the Green Forest school campus. Call of classes will be at noon. All activities will be held in the old gym. There will be a buffet instead of a sit-down dinner. There will be a very short business meeting, but the main emphasis will be on visiting! Alumni will be having a “sock-hop”! The alumni association hopes to have a DJ playing songs from the 1940s through the 1970s and possibly some more recent music as well.
This is the 70th anniversary of the Green Forest Alumni Banquet and will highlight the class of 1954, who started it all.
“We’ve heard we are one of only two schools in the U.S. that have alumni get-togethers for all graduates,” said Ramona Wilson, president of the Green Forest Alumni Association.
