Green Forest sophomore Lydia Russell had quite a day at the Rosson Relays on Thursday, April 13, in Harrison.
Russell competed in six events for the Lady Tigers, winning two and placing among the top three in three other events.
Russell brought home first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.68 seconds and also won the 300-meter hurdles in 49.83. She finished second in the triple jump, third in both the 100-meter dash and the long juOnmp and sixth in the 200-meter dash.
On the boys side, Berryville sophomore Malachi Haughton finished second in the 1,600-meter run and sixth in the 3,200.
Green Forest senior Alonzo Rangel was third in the boys 800-meter run, sixth in the 1,600 and ninth at 3,200 meters. Classmates Jason Lopez and Joel Salgado took third place in the discus and shot shot put, respectively. Lopez was fourth in the shot put.
Another Green Forest senior, Tony Gonzalez, finished sixth in both the 200-meter dash and the high jump and 15th in the 100-meter dash.
Green Forest sophomore Arauny Reyes took fifth place in both the 1,600-meter run and the long jump and eighth in the 400-meter dash. Tigers senior Jay Pope was seventh in the pole vault and 12th in the 200-meter dash. Junior Sergio Martinez finished ninth in the 800-meter run. Classmate Joseph Duenas took ninth in the 1,600 and 10th in the 3,200.
Green Forest senior Izaak Merida finished 17th in the 100-meter dash and junior Brandon Lopez- Tzoc was 24th in the 400-meter dash.
Green Forest finished third in the boys 4X400 relay and sixth in both the 4X100 and the 4X800.
Berryville sophomore Oliver Beamis took seventh place in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles. Senior Tun Oo finished eighth in the 100-meter dash and the shot put and 15th in the long jump, and sophomore Valentin Trujillo was eighth in the 800-meter run and 17th in the 400-meter dash.
Bobcats junior Adrian Esparza finished 11th in the 200-meter dash and 13th in the 100. Sophomore Gabriel Wall was 13th in the 300-meter hurdles. Classmate Nay Blut finished 15th in the 200-meter dash and 16th in the triple jump, one spot behind junior teammate Josh Butler.
Berryville sophomore Asher Ross was 14th in both the 1,600-and 3,200-meter runs. Sophomore Nathan Ross finished 15th in the 300-meter hurdles and 18th in the 400-meter dash. Senior Robby Bartos was 16th in the 1,600 and junior Carlos Barrios was 23rd in the 200-meter dash and 24th in the 100.
Berryville finished third in the 4x800 relay, fourth in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays and sixth in the 4x200.
Green Forest sophomore Haddasah Reyes took fifth place in the girls discus, 10th in the shot put and 19th in the 800-meter run. Classmate Elena Quiroz finished 12th in the 3,200, 17th in the 800 and 18th in the 1,600. Another Green Forest sophomore, Gabriela Lopez-Tzoc, was 23rd in the 100-meter dash.
Berryville sophomore Bella Knapp finished fourth in the girls 3,200-meter run and 10th in the 1,600. Freshman Tessa Parton was fifth in the 400 and 10th in the 800. Classmate Lizzeth Gomez finished 11th in the 3,200 and 16th in the 1,600. Sophomore Astralia Amos was 11th in the 1,600. Classmate Catherine Paz took 12th place in the 800 and 14th in the long jump. Another Lady Bobcats sophomore, Laney Wambold, finished 12th in the 100-meter dash.
