The annual Green Forest Alumni Reunion will be held Saturday, April 19. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. in the Old Gym and a buffet luncheon will be at noon. Dues are still $10, and the meal is also still $10.
The school buildings will be open if you would like to roam the halls, see the class pictures, and reminisce. The class pictures will not be carried to the gym to lessen the chance of damaging them.
Visiting will still be the main focus of the reunion. Renewing old acquaintances and getting to know the younger alums is what a reunion is all about. Everyone is encouraged to linger as long as they’d like since there will be no rushing to get back home.
Last year the music was fantastic, and the games were hilarious. The hula-hoop and twist contests had a few contestants, but more are welcome. Mike Sharp has agreed to be the DJ again. If you cannot attend, you may send your dues to GFHS Alumni Association; PO Box 1950; Green Forest, AR 72638. Dues are used to fund the reunion by paying for postage, buying food, plates and other supplies. Paying your alumni dues, regardless of whether you attend, will help the association carry on this important event.
