Local authors Craig Froman and Amanda McKinney will be the stars of the Friends of the Berryville Library’s next author talk and book signing event.
Love Your Audience: A Celebration of Local Authors will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Carroll Electric Community Room in Berryville. The event is free, and no tickets are required.
Froman is a curriculum writer, as well as assistant editor, at New Leaf Publishing Group by day and a young adult fantasy writer and poet by night. He and his family live in Berryville. He has a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Calif., and a master’s degree in education from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield. His books include the My Story series, as well as Passport to America and Children’s Atlas of the USA.
McKinney, a Berryville native currently living in Siloam Springs, is the bestselling and multi-awardwinning author of more than 15 romantic suspense and mystery novels. Her latest book, Rattlesnake Road, was named one of POPSUGAR’s 12 best romance books to have a spring fling with and was featured on the Today Show. The fifth book in her Steele Shadows Investigations series, Jagger, was recently nominated for the prestigious Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/ Suspense.
Amanda wrote her debut novel in 2017 after walking away from her career to become a full-time writer and stay-at-home mom. Her bestselling series include Steele Shadows Security, Berry Springs and the Black Rose Mysteries.
Both authors will be sharing stories from their personal writing and publishing journeys as well as craft-specific ideas of how to engage your writing with a particular audience. After the talk, the authors will be available to sign books. Copies of their books will be available for purchase at the event. There will also be door prizes and light refreshments.
The Friends of the Berryville Library are committed to celebrating local authors and sponsor biannual author talks and book signings. Last year’s events featured local authors Jane Elzey, Amber Camp, and Dale Ross.
