Golf tournament hosted by Friends raises $6,500 for Berryville Library

Posted

The Friends of the Berryville Library hosted an 18-hole, three-person scramble benefit golf tournament Saturday, April 25, at the Carroll County Country Club.

Championship winners Paul George, Kelly Greer and Logan Greer led all teams with a sizzling 58 (14 under par). Aaron Hall, Kyle Farrar, and Jamie Hussey won second place in a scorecard playoff with a 66, followed by the third-place team of Greg Stanley, Bobby Armstrong and Madison Armstrong.  First Flight winners Bob Beaver, Harold Sargent and Dave Harris posted a two under par 70.

According to Elaine Floyd, Friends President, “In addition to all of our sponsors, we want to offer a special thank you to the Carroll County Country Club, the Saabs, Jamie Hussey, Harper Goodwin, Bubba’s BBQ and the many volunteers who made the day such a success!”

The event raised more than $6,500 for the Friends of the Berryville Library, which will be used for the new library.
