John David Fowler is the winner of the Carroll County Pigskin Picks contest sponsored by CS Bank.

John David correctly selected the winners in 159 of 195 games in the 13-week contest (81.5 percent), including 14 out of 15 last week, to lead the eight panelists. Each of the panelists was playing on behalf of a local charity that they selected. John David’s charity, The Purple Flower Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Resource & Support Center, will receive a $500 donation from CS Bank.

Kristy Noble Tesch was a close second, finishing 12-3 in the final week of the contest and 156-39 overall.

Other panelists and their Week 13 and final records were Jamie Hussey, 14-1 and 15540; Dean Lee, 14-1 and 154-41; Mickey Shields, 13-2 and 15144; Malachi McDonald, 11-4 and 140-55; Fernando Ramirez, 11-4 and 132-63; and Laci Tennant, 11-4 and 13164.

“This was so much fun,” said Scott Loftis, editor and publisher of the Carroll County News. “I’m so appreciative of CS Bank for sponsoring the contest and to all of the panelists. I heard a lot of positive comments from the community about it and the best part of the whole thing is that a local charity will benefit. I want to thank everyone who’s been involved with it.”
