Floyd Wayne Hicks, 84, of Rutherfordton passed away on December 29, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Floyd was the son of the late _omas Jackson Hicks and Lillie B. Nunn Hicks. Floyd was also preceded in death by his wife, Bernetha Ann Mallory Hicks; two brothers, two sisters and two children.
Floyd lived life his way and that was always to the fullest. He was a dedicated family man, hard worker and entrepreneur. Floyd owned and operated Hicks Trucking. Le to cherish his memory are his e children and one adopted child, 16 grandkids, six great-grandkids and one greatgreat- grandkid.
Floyd was proud to have served in the United States Navy and he served on the Shangri-la.
