Fayrene (_arp) Norris was born October 23, 1930, in the Farewell community to Claud Winford and Celia Mae _arp. She departed this life March 18, 2023, at NARMC.
At 16 years old, she married Marion (Mel) Norris on June 1, 1947. _ey lived in the same community of Farewell in which she was born, until 1971 when they moved to town in Green Forest. Two daughters were born to them. Connie (Norris) Alvard, husband Bill and Caren (Norris) Robertson, husband Mike.
_ey had ve grandchildren, Marty Alvard, Michael Alvard, Shelly (Clark) Turner, Brian Clark and wife Kandra, and Jimmy Clark and wife Amanda. Also, nine great-grandchildren and ve great-great-grandchildren.
She worked hard all her life, was a great cook, most notably her Montana biscuits and blackberry jelly and being a good housekeeper. She loved animals. She enjoyed phone visits with her close friend, Hilda and caring cousin, Peggy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and grandson, Michael Alvard.
She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren and one aunt, Dixie Marriott and several cousins.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel.
