Edris “Edie” Elaine Christians was born March 6, 1952, in Bemidji, Minnesota to Elmer and June (Gibson) Church. Edie passed away July 12, 2023, in Fayetteville, Ark. at the age of 71.
She was a brilliant mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, neighbor, confidant, mentor, lover of love, life and family, which included her very beloved dog, Beaslie and a long list of incredible friends. All these roles throughout life she embraced and perfectly exemplified. Edie was passionate, strong willed and stubborn to a fault! She knew what she liked and what she didn’t…clarity we should all hope for. My mother was a “Master of unconditional love”. She always saw the good in everyone and it certainly was not difficult to see the good in her. “To know my mom was to love her!” If someone met my mom and didn’t love her, they aren’t worth knowing.
Edie is survived by her children, Jennifer Hyde of Eureka Springs, Jared Christians and wife Joey of Farmington; mother, June Church of Bemidji; grandchildren, Whitely Ward, Emily Wade, Kate Christians; great-grandchild, Kaleah Wade, Stella Ward; siblings, Michael Church, Rodney Church, Kevin Church all of Bemidji, Minn.; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded by her father, Elmer Church and sister, Jolana Hughes.
