Dorothy Jo Foster of Berryville, Arkansas was born August 5, 1933, in Berryville to Tommy and Rhea (Stacy) Allen. Dorothy passed away August 15, 2022, in Rogers at the age of 89.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of God (Holiness). Dorothy was best known for her love of gospel music. She and her husband Elbert performed throughout the community for many years. Dorothy was very supportive of her church and was a true prayer warrior. She loved to camp and fish and was especially proud of her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her children Johnny Elmore and wife Donna of Green Forest, Tommy Elmore of Lowell, Arkansas; sister Doy Imogene Edmondson of Berryville; grandchildren Jerry (Lyndy) Elmore, Michael Elmore, Buffy (Clint) Howle, Hugh (Trace) Henry, Jason (Carrie) Henry; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; along with a host of other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tommy and Rhea Allen; stepdaughter Diana Maynard; sisters Janet Collier, Tommy Kaye Allen; grandson James Elmore.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 19, 2022, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Pepple and Bro. Dale Menefee officiating. Interment will follow at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Gideon’s International, PO Box 362, Berryville, AR 72616. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
