Don Ray Brock, age 84, of Shell Knob, Missouri was born on October 5, 1940, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Ernest A. Brock and Jesse (Whisman) Brock. Don left this world on Saturday, October 12, 2024, after a long struggle with cancer, pain and suffering.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Jesse Brock; siblings, Loren Brock, Cuma (Brock) Vaughn, Kermit Brock, Howard Brock, Jake Brock, and baby sister, Cathlene Brock.

Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Myra Lou (Ray) Brock; daughter, Glenna Lou (Brock) Tebbe and her husband Rick; son, Bryan Brock and his wife Susan; son, Terry Brock and his wife Christie.

He leaves behind seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, who loved him very much. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Don moved to Shell Knob when he was five. He attended grade school at Shell Knob and graduated from Cassville High School in 1958. Shortly after graduating Don and Myra were married and moved to Kansas City where they started their family. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Claycomo for 30 years. After retiring in 1989 they moved to Shell Knob, Missouri and enjoyed their retirement and life together there for 34 more years. Don was baptized into Christ and was a devoted Christian. He was first a member and Deacon of Benevolence at Gladstone Church of Christ until moving to Shell Knob. There he became a member and Elder at the Shell Knob Church of Christ and was very respected by the community.

Don loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He enjoyed working on the farm, raising cattle and gardening. He had a profound joy in his heart watching his many grandchildren grow, playing on the farm, and laughing with them. His laughter and sense of humor filled every room with happiness. Many memories were made going on vacation, traveling on cruises, bus trips, and so many other adventures with Myra. They enjoyed many ski trips with friends, Larry and Vera Beach.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Shell Knob Church of Christ. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m., with Zeke Sayre officiating. Interment will follow at Painter Cemetery.
