Holiday Island Fire Department volunteer firefighter/EMT Kelly Trahan! Kelly was honored last week by the Holiday Island Elks with a Distinguished Citizenship award. ‘Kelly is very deserving of this award for all of her long hours and projects at our fire department,’ said a post on the HIFD Facebook page. ‘Rarely does an emergency happen that doesn’t see Kelly responding. She oversees the rehabilitation program for our fire scenes. She heads up the yearly fire department golf tournament. Kelly also does the mundane chore of quality control on our Fire & EMS reports. Her dedication is legendary. The Elks couldn’t have picked a better recipient!’ (Photo courtesy of Holiday Island Fire Department)
