Darlene “Molly” Pinkle[/caption]Darlene “Molly” Pinkley was born on March 15, 1937, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Clarer Earl and Deliah Mae (Grandstaff) Herndon. Molly passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023, in Eureka Springs, at the age of 86.
Molly was a Eureka Springs treasurer. She was known and loved by every person she came in contact with. She was a servant, spending over 50 years waiting tables. Many visitors would return year after year asking to be seated in her station. She also served her Lord faithfully by teaching classes, being involved in the women’s ministry, and giving selflessly to those she loved. Molly will be remembered with love by “her kids” for the many years of transportation to and from church, always stopping for a bite to eat.
Molly is survived by her two nieces, Tanya Ford of Conway, Arkansas and Heidi Turner and husband Jeremy of Kirklin, Indiana; one nephew, Michael D. Herndon of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Farmer of Colorado; three sisters-in-law, Marlene Herndon of Idaho, Melissa Herndon of Eureka Springs and Linda Pence of Holiday Island; great-nephew, Taylor Turner (Julia Tidd) of Indiana; great-nieces, Kennedy Turner of Indiana, Olivia Ford of Arkansas, Ella Ford of Arkansas, and Mollie Turner of Indiana; several other nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Monroe Pinkley; parents, Clarer and Deliah Herndon; siblings, Marjorie Herndon, Betty Jean McNeill, Bill Herndon, Bob Herndon, Earlene Whitaker, Don Herndon, and Kenneth Herndon.
Visitation was 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the First Assembly of God in Eureka Springs. Funeral service was 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2023 at the First Assembly of God with Pastor Jeremy Turner and Pastor Randy Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at the Eureka Springs Cemetery.
