Dagmar “Dee” Ann Hamilton passed away peacefully at her home in Brooksville, Florida on June 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Dee was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Dec 12, 1937 to Gustav and Louise Kochendorfer. The family moved to the San Francisco Bay area in California where she met her husband, Earl T. Rose (predeceased 1997) and together they owned and managed several restaurants and a tool rental center.
They moved to Green Forest, Arkansas in 1978 and Dee began work at the sale barn in town and opened the “Woodshop”, selling furniture and wooden crafts. Dee was an avid cook, gardener, artist and, in her younger years, a national bowling champion.
She was most recently employed at the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for nearly 30 years and truly enjoyed the camaraderie and fellowship of the people around her.
Dee is survived by her husband of 21 years, Edward Hamilton; daughter, Heidi Hyden of Ashland, Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Earlene (Rose) and Robert Ingram of Winthrop Maine; one granddaughter, Brittany Wright and two great-grandsons, Kayden Bell and Denali Wright of Valdez, Alaska.
At her request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, AR in her honor.
