CS Bank donates $5,000 to local organizations

Posted

Jason Tennant, president of CS Bank, recently announced that the bank donated $5,000 back to the communities the local bank serves, representing funds generated by the Skip-A-Payment program.

The donations will allow various organizations to purchase necessary items for local families during hard times.

The holiday season has long been a time of financial strain for many in our communities. Those who have consumer loans at CS Bank qualified to have the option to skip a loan payment during the holidays. The proceeds from the nominal fee of skipping a payment often prove helpful to those whose cash flow takes a hit during the season.

Donations were made to each of the following communities: The Imagination Library in Eureka Springs, The Warming Center in Berryville, Open Arms Pantry in Huntsville, Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship in Harrison, and The Cassville Pantry and Haven of the Ozarks in Cassville. All funds will be used to assist needy families in the markets CS Bank serves.

Tennant said he believes the annual Skip-A-Payment program can not only provide financial relief for customers but also help families in need throughout the community.

“It’s a time of year many in our community struggle,” Tennant said. “This program is a winwin situation for both our customers and for those in the community during these tough times.

“By allowing our qualified loan customers the chance to defer a loan payment, we are helping our customers who may need a little extra financial support during the holiday season. Earmarking those funds to a needed cause is a way for us to invest in the lives of friends and neighbors. We are truly proud to have created this program and hope that it will help generate countless smiles at this special time of year.”
