Why are you seeking this office, and what experience or perspective best prepares you to serve effectively?
“I am seeking re-election as Justice of the Peace because I want to continue serving the people of Berryville and Carroll County with dedication, experience, and integrity. This community has been my home for decades, and serving it has been my life’s work.
“I have served the City of Berryville as a police officer for more than 20 years, working directly in our neighborhoods and in our schools. That experience has given me a deep understanding of the needs, challenges, and values of the people I represent, as well as the importance of fairness, accountability, and common- sense decision-making. “My wife and I are raising our family in Berryville. Two of our children are married, and we currently have two children in the Berryville School System. My commitment to Berryville is personal — not just as a public servant, but as a parent, neighbor, and lifelong member of this community. I am running to continue standing up for our people and to help ensure a strong future for the place we call home.”
What do you see as the most important issue facing your district right now, and what specific actions would you take to address it if elected?
“The most important issue facing Berryville right now is ensuring our community continues to have steady, experienced representation that puts people first. Strong leadership matters every day— not just when problems arise.
“If elected, I will continue to serve the people of Berryville with the experience, accessibility, and dedication they deserve. I am committed to listening to constituents, responding to concerns, and representing our community thoughtfully and effectively. My goal is to protect Berryville’s quality of life and make sure our voices are heard.”
How do you approach budgeting, taxpayer dollars and long-term financial responsibility at the level of government you are seeking to serve?
“I approach budgeting with the mindset taxpayers expect: responsibility, transparency, and long-term planning. I currently serve on both the Personnel and Budget Committees, and I am honored to serve as Chair of the Budget Committee.
“Under our leadership, Carroll County’s budget remains healthy and balanced. We hold elected officials and departments accountable for working within their approved budgets, ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently and effectively. Through careful planning and responsible oversight, we have been able to provide raises to county employees in recent years and support longevity within our workforce — recognizing experience, reducing turnover, and retaining dedicated public servants who know our community.
“My goal is always to be a good steward of taxpayer dollars by making thoughtful, common-sense decisions that protect the county’s financial stability today and for the future.”
