Community Chat, the popular local radio program hosted by Jamie Hussey and Dean Lee, will celebrate its five-year anniversary with a special prerecorded broadcast at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in the lobby of sponsor Bank of 1889. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to join the hosts in celebrating this milestone broadcast.
Since debuting in May 2021, Community Chat has been sponsored by the Bank of 1889 and is aired every Friday at 8 a.m. on KTHS 107.1, offering a lighthearted and engaging look at local events, community accomplishments and the people who make Berryville special. Through community news, interviews and friendly banter, the program has built a loyal audience while keeping listeners informed and entertained.
“We’re proud to help inform our community about the many events, activities and accomplishments happening around us,” said Jamie Hussey, Berryville Parks director. “We can’t thank the Bank of 1889 enough for sponsoring the show, and we’re grateful to KTHS for giving us the opportunity to share these stories each week.”
Hussey and co-host Dean Lee, Berryville economic development director for the City of Berryville, have used the program to spotlight community initiatives, recognize local citizens and celebrate the positive things happening across town.
“We love having the KTHS platform to highlight the many great things going on in Berryville and recognize our outstanding citizens,” Lee said. “As our city continues to grow and prosper, we hope to keep celebrating the achievements of our community and the people who make them possible. We hope listeners leave our show feeling better about themselves and about this great place we call home.”
The anniversary broadcast will mark five years of community connection, conversation, and local storytelling, while looking ahead to many more years on the air. Since launching five years ago, Community Chat has aired approximately 260 episodes, showcasing what makes Berryville a great place to live, work and play.
Residents are encouraged to attend and be part of this special broadcast and celebration.
