Community center receives new equipment

Posted

The Berryville Community Center Foundation, a 501(c) (3) nonprofit endowment fund established through the Carroll County Foundation, met this quarter to discuss new beginnings and to determine some needs for the center. The results were obtaining two new Teeter FreeStep recumbent resistance machines and a new weight bench for use with the community center’s universal trainer equipment.

The Community Center Foundation members, including Jason Tennant, Tim McKinney, Dean Ackerman, Erick Diaz, John McClellan, Sally Phillips, Lacey Powell and Linda Riddlesperger, along with community center director Jamie Hussey, all worked diligently to make sure the center improves the quality of its equipment for community center members.

The new equipment adds value because you can work all major muscle groups, lower and upper, using push pull mechanics. The wonderful volunteers and staff always invite the public for a complimentary tour and to see the newly renovated Berryville Community Center.

And just a heads up, if it’s after school, you may end up meeting a great deal of wonderful little ones on their way to many of the community center’s different classes like dance, karate and much more!

Thanks to the Berryville Community Center Foundation for their ongoing support recognizing the importance of many of the city’s assets offered to all from our surrounding communities.
