Community Cookout
Eureka Springs Hospital and Elite Home Health are partnering to host the Community Appreciation Cookout from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, in the hospital parking lot at 24 Norris St. in Eureka Springs.
Visitors can stop by for hamburgers, sweet treats and great conversation. Arvest Bank of Eureka Springs is donating their grill to make this event happen.

Grave decoration
A Memorial Day grave decoration event has been scheduled for Sunday, May 29, at Liberty Cemetery south of Dry Fork on Carroll County Road 943.
A potluck lunch will be held at 12:45 p.m.

Mennonite fundraiser
The Mennonite Disaster Service Search and Rescue team will hold a fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the Mennonite School on Cisco Road, located at 849 Carroll County Road 601 in Berryville.
Attendees will be treated to a pulled pork dinner, homemade bread, pies and more. Dinners will be donation only and all donations are tax deductible.
An auction offering extra meat, bread pies and other items will begin at 7 p.m.

Storywalk registration
Registration has begun for the 2nd Annual Storywalk. to be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 4, at the Berryville Community Center Soccer field.
This family-friendly event allows participants to collect story cards at each of the three check-in aid stations along the way during this approximately one-mile outdoor walk.
Upon completion of the walk, participants can use the story cards they gathered to tell their own, unique, tall tale.
This year, Berryville’s own professional storyteller, Molly Sroges, will be located at the finish line for participants to listen to her tall tales.
All proceeds raised from this event will go toward the Library Building Project.
Registration pledge forms are now available at the Berryville Library located at 104 Spring St. in Berryville. Virtu

Summer meals program
The Berryville School District will provide free meals to children from June 6-June 30.
This summer, meals will be served from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for breakfast and from 11 a.m. to noon for lunch Monday through Thursday at the elementary cafeteria and middle school cafeteria. Meals may be picked up at the cafeteria back door.

Ambulance commission
The Eastern Carroll County Ambulance District Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Mid-States Specialty Eggs, located at 1302 Primrose St. in Berryville, AR 72616. This is the Mid-States Specialty Egg building.

Ice Cream Social 5K
After COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the Ice Cream Social 5K for the past two years, the race is back on and Grandma’s House Children’s Advocacy Center is hosting.
The race begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 11, on the Berryville square with runners taking off first and walkers following.
The signup fee is $30 per runner and includes an event T-shirt and a scoop of ice cream at the end courtesy of Hometown Scoop.
Registration will be available on race day and stroller-age children are free.
Proceeds from the race will go to the child abuse victims that Grandma’s House serves.
The race course will be the same as past years and will be marked with colorful arrows, volunteers, and signs along with traffic aid from the Berryville Police Department.
