Cletus Dale Marshall

Cletus Dale Marshall of Berryville, Arkansas was born October 13, 1959, the son of Charlie and Georgia (Kincaid) Marshall. Cletus passed away surrounded by family on September 30, 2023, at the age of 63.

Cletus Graduated from Berryville High School in 1978. He worked as a Telephone Lineman and Splicer Fiber Optic Inspector. In 2003, he started his own business M&M Telcom. He was also a sub-contractor for Klassmyer’s Construction out of Conway, Arkansas doing aerial telephone construction and splicing for Windstream Communications and Tri County Phone Service.

Cletus’s hobbies were fishing, boating, gardening, along with coaching his daughter’s summer league softball team. He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially during the holidays, and rooting for the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Cletus leaves behind his wife of 41 years Sonya Williams. They were united in marriage on November 26, 1982, and blessed with two beautiful daughters, Jessica Alvard and Sativia Evans; sons-in-law, Heath Alvard and Keeton Evans; mother- in-law, Louise Williams; grandchildren, Alton and Alley Alvard; and grand puppy, Powder Evans. He was also blessed to have a special great-nephew, Dillion Smith; exceptional friend, Arlie Wolfinbarger; siblings, Linda McCreary, Verla Marshall, Gary Marshall, Alburt (Jim) Marshall; sisters-in-law, Kim Marshall, Chris Marshall, Beth Anglin, Barb Patty; brother-in-law, Benny Williams; and nine nephews and eight nieces. Due to his love of animals, he leaves behind his fur babies, Minnie, Mickey, Britches, Casey, Oliver, Balto and Callie.

He is preceded by his parents, Charlie and Georgia Marshall; father-in-law, Jess Williams; brother, Dewey Marshall; brothers-inlaw, Fread McCreary, John Ayers, Tom Donnell; sisterin- law, Carolyn Williams; nieces, Leonda Wilson, Clarissa Anglin; and nephew, Casey Williams.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jerry Scitern and Pastor Freddy Blevins officiating. Interment to follow at Marshall Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
