City plans ribbon cutting Saturday

Posted

The City of Berryville is pleased to invite the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Zorba’s Coffee & Cafe, owned by Alexis Anderson, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the café’s new location, 204 Public Square, in the heart of downtown Berryville.

Zorba’s Coffee & Cafe will officially open earlier that morning at 7 a.m., with the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration to follow at 10 a.m. The café is located in one of the historic buildings on the Berryville Square, making this opening a meaningful example of Berryville’s motto, “History Meets Progress.”

“The City is excited to see this historic space thoughtfully reimagined and brought to life through local entrepreneurship,” says a news release announcing the ribbon cutting.

At opening, Zorba’s Coffee & Cafe will offer its original coffee drink menu, fresh smoothies, smoothie bowls and a signature yogurt bowl. Additional menu items, including salads and wraps, will be added once the kitchen is fully operational.

The café has been intentionally curated to provide a warm and welcoming environment where guests can work, study, read, relax and gather. The space is designed to be inclusive and comfortable for community members, visitors and families alike.

To celebrate opening day, every 25th customer will receive a free smoothie.

“The City of Berryville is proud to support local business owners and is especially excited to see Alexis Anderson and Zorba’s continue to grow within the community,” the city news release says. “Beginning as a popular coffee truck enjoyed by both locals and visitors, Zorba’s Coffee & Cafe now marks an important milestone with the opening of its second location on the Berryville Square.” Community members are encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting, show their support, and help welcome Zorba’s Coffee & Cafe to downtown Berryville.
