Chiyoko Uchima Elliott, 90, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in Berryville, Arkansas. Born on September 7, 1935, in Okinawa, Japan, she lived a remarkable life defined by resilience, love, and devotion to her family. 

Chiyoko was the beloved wife of the late William Bryan Elliott, whom she married on January 4th, 1963. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work and shared values. She was also predeceased by her parents and one sister. She is survived by her sons, John Elliott and his wife, Kimberly Kapko of Jamestown, Rhode Island, and Donald Elliott of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is also survived by her granddaughter Ariel Elliott, who resides in China. 

A woman of strength and determination, Chiyoko was known for her independent spirit and kind heart. Her sweet nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. A dedicated worker throughout her life, she balanced her responsibilities with grace and an unwavering commitment to those she loved most, which was her family. 

Chiyoko attended Freeman Heights Baptist Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life and provided her with strength and guidance through life's challenges. 

Graveside services will be Thursday, April 9th, 2026, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Lannie Younger officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Freeman Heights Baptist Church at 522 West Freeman St, Berryville, AR 72616. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
