Macklin ChermakBerryville High School has a new head football coach.
The Berryville School Board voted Monday night to hire Macklin “Mack” Chermak, former defensive coordinator at Coweta High School in Oklahoma, to lead the Bobcats. Chermak will replace Bryan Hutson, who announced his resignation last month to accept a teaching position in the Hot Springs Lakeside School District.
A Wisconsin native and 2012 graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay, Chermak holds a master’s degree from Ohio University.
Before moving to Coweta in 2019, Chermak held assistant coaching positions at Southern Arkansas University, Coffeyville Community College and Mena High School.
Hutson compiled an overall record of 4-16 in two seasons at Berryville.
