District Mission: Ensuring high levels of learning for everyone, every day!
The Bobcat community has plenty to celebrate this spring as students continue to achieve both in and out of the classroom. The High School Quiz Bowl Team has made school history by becoming Regional Champions for the second year in a row. Even more impressive, the program itself is only in its second year of existence. The team’s dedication, preparation and teamwork have quickly made Quiz Bowl a point of pride for the district.
With their regional victory, the Bobcats have earned a trip to the 4A State Quiz Bowl Tournament, which will be held April 11 in Dardanelle. The district is proud of these students and wishes them the best of luck as they represent the district at the state level.
In addition to academic achievements, families are reminded that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held this Thursday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to meet with teachers, discuss student progress, and stay connected with their child’s education.
Students and staff are also looking forward to a well-deserved break. Spring Break will take place March 23–27, giving everyone time to recharge before the final stretch of the school year.
Spring sports are also underway. Baseball, softball and soccer seasons are in full swing, and Bobcat athletes are working hard and representing the school with pride. Community members are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Bobcats at upcoming games and matches.
Looking ahead, the district is preparing to welcome its newest students. Kindergarten Registration will be held April 2 and April 3. Families with children entering kindergarten next school year are encouraged to attend and begin the enrollment process. Entering kindergartners must be 5 years of age on or before Aug. 1 to enroll.
The onsite Pre-K program is enrolling children now for the 2026-2027 school year! Children that are 3 years of age or turning 3 are eligible for enrollment. Pre-K has three classrooms available with licensed teachers working with the students. Representatives will be on hand during Berryville’s kindergarten registration to answer questions and enroll students. For more information, contact Tasha Hutchison at thutchison@oursc.k12.ar.us.
The district is also now enrolling students in the Bobcat Virtual School for the 2026–2027 school year. We have seen a lot of student success with this option and currently have 35 students enrolled this semester.
The program offers flexibility and provides additional educational options, including opportunities for homeschool students who would like to access district-supported coursework with an on-site facilitator who can provide academic support.
Students who live outside the district are welcome to apply, but must complete a School Choice application before June 1 in order to enroll. For more information, please contact program facilitator Boone Hooker at bhooker@bobcat.k12.ar.us, or reach out to the counselor’s office at the middle school or high school for additional details and enrollment forms.
With academic accomplishments, athletic competition, and important events ahead, it’s an exciting time to be part of the Bobcat family. Thank you for your continued support of Berryville Schools!
