Carroll E. Carr passed away on January 3, 2023, in Berryville, Ark. at the age of 91.
Carroll was born in Berryville on November 23, 1931, to Everett and Helen (Vawter) Carr.
He was dra_ed into the Korean War and proudly served active duty in the Army from September 5, 1952, until August 21, 1954, when he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant with Company D 23rd Infantry. A_er returning from the Army, he worked at Carr Grocery Store in Berryville. Carroll and Joanne Kell were married on December 8, 1960. Carroll worked in the grocery business until the store was closed and then he worked with his cousin Loy Carr at Carr Dry Goods until it closed in 1999. He enjoyed his cattle farm, taking day trips around the area with Joanne and spending time with his many friends and family.
Carroll is survived by his brother, Gordon Carr and wife Allawayne of Berryville; sister, Gail Wilson of Harrison; brother-in-law, Kenny Kell and wife Judy of Berryville; sister-in-law, Darlene Wood of Berryville; nephew, Doug Carr and wife Kamala of Berryville; niece, Leisha Carr of Berryville; nephew, Greg Wilson and wife Cindy of Diamond City; niece, Melissa Wilson of Harrison; niece, Brooke Scott and husband Dan of Springeld, Mo.; great-niece, Ashley Lasater and husband Austin of Rogers; greatnephew, Austin Carr and wife Samantha of Rogers; greatniece, Caitlan Davis of Orlando Florida; great-niece, Han Davis of Lafayette, La.; Chris Canady and wife Lori of Berryville; along with many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Carr; parents, Everett and Helen Carr and brothers-in-law, Robert Wilson and Bob Wood.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tom Rees o iating. Interment will follow at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery.
