Carroll County Stone rocks library fundraiser

Posted

Carroll County Stone, located two miles east of Berryville on U.S. Highway 62, rocked the second annual fundraising event for the library, raising $4,000 for the Berryville Library Building Project.

Carroll County Stone offered pickup loads of base rock for $20 a load, with all the proceeds going to the effort to build a new library in Berryville.

“This was our second year partnering with the fine folks at Carroll County Stone,” said Calvin Cleaver, president of the Friends of the Berryville Library. “Last year’s event raised $2,369 for the library, and this year, we had a 69 percent increase, raising $4,000! We want to thank Michael Boardman and the team at Carroll County Stone, along with all those residents from all over the county who came out and purchased base rock!”

Secure donations can be made online to the Friends of the Berryville Library at www.berryvillelibrary.org/building or drop by the Berryville Library at 104 Spring St.
