Bonnie Lou Lander

Bonnie Lou (Newman) Lander, age 84, departed on her journey Monday, March 20, 2023, peacefully at home with family by her side. She was born August 24, 1938, in Blue Eye, Missouri, the daughter of Finis and Breecie (Dodgen) Newman.

Bonnie graduated high school in Blue Eye, Missouri in 1956. She married Richard Lander May 8, 1956. _ey celebrated 66 years of marriage. She had one son, Richard Michael Lander.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by husband, Richard Lander and brother, Dean Newman.

She is survived by her son, Michael Lander of El Reno, Oklahoma and his wife Terri Lander. Eight grandchildren, Angela Lee, Jason Lander, Patrick Lander, Blaine Lander, Timothy Farrell, Matthew Farrell, Joshua Farrell and Kelsey Bell. As well as 24 great-grandchildren. Brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, and nephews, and a lifetime of friends. Bonnie loved to play the organ and piano, though she didn’t read music she played by ear. She loved having family over and cooking for the whole crew. Bonnie worked for Carroll Electric for 31 and half years, retired twice, and enjoyed going back and cooking for the board members. She loved playing cards and eating out with family and friends. She loved the Arkansas Razorback Basketball!! Bonnie loved the Lord and was very active in the church. _ere will be a joyful reunion in heaven with her sweetheart and family.

Visitation was 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral services started at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Patrick Lander ociating.
