Bobcats bounce back from conference loss

Posted

The Berryville Bobcats suffered their first 4A-West loss of the season on Tuesday, April 18, falling 2-0 at Clarksville.

But the Bobcats bounced back just fine, winning 9-1 at Huntsville on Friday, April 21.

“We played Clarksville extremely competitively,” Berryville coach Grant Hutson said. “We were about even on possessions and shots. Their goals went in and ours didn’t, and that was the story.”

Seven players scored for Berryville in the win at Huntsville, led by three goals from senior Francisco Tellez.

“We played extremely well,” Hutson said. “It was 7-0 at the end of the first half.”

Berryville’s girls lost to Clarksville 1-0. Berryville hosted Farmington on Monday.
