Boardman makes donation to library building fund

Posted

Michael Boardman, owner of Boardman Forge, recently surprised the Friends of the Berryville Library with a donation to the Berryville Library Building Fund. Boardman and his family were set up at the White Street Walk on May 17 in Eureka Springs, selling some of his handforged items with 100 percent of the proceeds going to three local non-profit organizations, including the Friends.

Boardman, who was a recipient of the Carla Youngblood Community Spirit Award for his efforts in making our community a better place to live and work, is the former owner of Carroll County Stone. Michael and his wife, Jennifer, and their children have been very supportive of the Berryville Library over the years.

“The Boardman family is such a blessing to this community and to our library and this latest donation from Boardman Forge is appreciated beyond words” said Elaine Floyd, Friends of the Berryville Library president.

The Friends of the Berryville Library have raised more than $3.2 million of the $3.5 million needed to build a much-needed new library in Berryville that will serve this community for generations to come.
