WorleyBilly Dean Worley of Berryville was born in Rockhouse Community, Madison County on May 21, 1940, to Louis “Shrimp” and Lutie Mae (Dunn) Worley. Bill went to heaven November 25, 2024, at Countryside Assisted Living in Huntsville.
He attended first grade in Huntsville, Arkansas, then completed 7th grade at the Rockhouse School.
Bill was a country boy who loved horses, mules and hunting. If it wasn’t hunting season, then he was riding his horse or mule most of the time. As a young man he worked skidding logs in Madison County. Bill then went on to work for the Missouri Road Department working on bridges, after that he later retired from the Carroll County Road Department after 22 years of running a bulldozer.
After retirement, you could find Bill at the Passion Play helping take care of the animals. One of his biggest joys was riding in the wagon train from Harrison, Arkansas to Springdale, Arkansas for the 4th of July rodeo. Bill rode the train for 22 years. It was a rare morning when you would not see Bill having breakfast and coffee at the Ozark Café and telling tall tales.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Teresa Fears of Branson, Missouri, Larita Hutchcroft and husband John of Berryville, Anita Asbury and husband Gary of Hindsville; grandchildren, Trenton Fears and wife Whitney of Branson, Missouri, Jeremy Asbury and wife Cynthia of Berryville, Tessa Hill and husband Taylor of Springfield, Missouri, Tory Eldridge and husband Jason of Hindsville, Austin Hutchcroft and wife Dr. Michaela Motzko of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hunter Hutchcroft of Springdale; great-grandchildren, Laney, Landree, Lydia, Liam, Levi, Ellie May, Emily, Joanna, Caroline; sister, Loretta Johnson of Springdale; along with many other relatives and friends.
