Betty Jean DavisBetty Jean Davis of Berryville, Arkansas was born in Ontario, California to Byron Pruitt and Bertha (Smith) Foell on November 14, 1931. Betty passed away August 14, 2023, in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 91.
Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, yardwork, and feeding the birds and squirrels. She traveled the world with her family and used the experience to expand her culinary skills and palate. Betty, along with her husband Ron, loved sharing their travel experiences with others whenever given a chance. She was a member of Cup of Love ministry in Eureka Springs where she cooked and baked for their pantry for many years. Before that, she attended Shiloh United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Women’s Christian Club of Carroll County.
Betty is survived by her children, Kenneth Davis and wife Cheri, Karen Turley, Kerry “Lee” Davis, Kevin Davis, Karla Davis; grandchildren, Cole Davis and wife Tara, Ty Davis and wife Amanda, Kristina (Turley) Payne and husband Michael, Shaun Helmlinger and wife April, Tiffany Helmlinger- Nester and husband Jaxon; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Brian, Myles, Elizabeth, Madeline, Dacia; sister, Ardella Plott.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Byron Pruitt and Bertha Mae Foell; husband, Ronald Eugene Davis; brothers, Clint, Don, Jim, Kenneth, Earl; sister, Anna Mae Pruitt; grandchildren, Christopher Helmlinger and Katrina Schepper (Turley).
Memorial service was Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Dry Fork.
