KY3 television’s First Alert Weather Tour will be in Berryville from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Berryville High School Performing Arts Center.
KY3’s meteorologists and other on-air staff will be at various locations during the tour. KY3 also has additional activities included in their stop in Berryville. Attendees can win various prizes for trivia contests, including a weather radio, umbrellas, a KY3 poncho and a First Alert rain gauge. The event also will feature free bike helmets, one per child; live broadcasts during the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts; and a fun weather class. Local first responders will be in attendance as well.
In addition, KY3 will hold a live showing of its special program “The Place,” featuring Berryville, at 4:30 p.m. on the “Big Screen” in the auditorium.
“The Place” will re-air on KY3 at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 10.
Also on Thursday, the Greater Berryville Area Chamber of Commerce will host a press conference at 3:30 p.m. inside the Performing Arts Center before the KY3 activities. This special announcement will be concerning the 37th Annual Berryville Ice Cream Social presented by Tyson, which will be held June 9-10 on the Historic Berryville Square. The press conference is open to the public and will include some tasty giveaways.
