Berryville schools havea lot to celebrate

District Mission: Ensuring high levels of learning for everyone, every day!

Bobcat Families & Community Members, It’s a busy time in all of our schools right now and we have a lot to celebrate and acknowledge.

If you haven’t attended a theater and drama production at the Performing Arts Center at Berryville High yet, mark your calendars for Nov. 14, 15, and 17.

The theater group will present “Clue” at 7 p.m. on the first two dates and at 2:30 p.m. on the 17th. The program is continuing to grow and the students and teacher/director Meleia Lewis do an outstanding job!

The Bobcat Marching Band and the cross country team are both state bound. Congratulations to the students, coaches and directors! You make Berryville proud!

The Intermediate School fifth graders presented the Phantom of the Music Room musical to a full house recently. The students and music teacher JP Dean spent a lot of time preparing and rehearsing for the event. Thank you to everyone for attending and supporting the music program.

Join us in congratulating third grade teacher, Kate Williams, for being selected as the Arvest “We Heart Teachers” award this year! Mrs. Williams received a $500 check for classroom materials and supplies. We appreciate Arvest Bank for investing in our educators in Berryville.

Families, as you know, we implemented a new safety system on our buses. Students have bus cards (same as the cafeteria cards) that they should be using to scan on and off of the bus each day. This is an amazing system that enables drivers and administrators to know exactly which bus each student has boarded, or not boarded. With safety being our No. 1 priority, we need to be sure all bus riders have their cards each day. Please encourage your students to keep up with their cards as this helps us keep them safe.

Thanksgiving Break is right around the corner! The break this year is scheduled for Nov. 25-29. Once we return, there will only be three weeks left in this semester.

Parents, please continue to make attendance a priority for your student(s) and encourage each one to keep working hard as the semester comes to a close. Attendance across the district has improved tremendously, so let’s keep this trend going!

As always, reach out to us with any questions or feedback regarding Berryville Schools. We appreciate the partnership we have with our families and stakeholders in this community. Thank you for your support and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
