A Berryville man was killed in a three-vehicle accident Saturday, Feb. 4, in Madison County.
According to a preliminary report by the Arkansas State Police, Timmy Cain, 63, of Berryville was driving a 1997 Ford westbound on U.S. Highway 412 near its intersection with Arkansas Highway 127 at 5:32 p.m. when it struck the back of a westbound 2019 Freightliner. Cain’s vehicle then crossed the center line and sideswiped an eastbound 2019 GMC before leaving the roadway in a southwest direction and striking a culvert before coming to rest in an upright position, the report says.
The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident, the ASP report says.
Cain became the 53rd person to die in an accident on an Arkansas roadway so far in 2023.
The drivers of the other two vehicles were not identified.
