The Berryville School District is pleased to announce the inaugural inductees into the Berryville Athletic Hall of Fame.
The 2024 class consists of former coaches Jack Edens, Ronnie Clark, Joe Mills and Jo Ann Clark, along with former student-athlete Tommy Ginn. Inductees will be recognized before the Berryville/Mountain View football game on Friday night, Sept. 6, with the Hall of Fame Ceremony scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 in the Berryville Performing Arts Center.
JACK EDENS
A legendary coach, whose career included 36 years in which his teams (boys and girls basketball, boys and girls track, boys cross country and football) won 13 state championships and five state runners-up.
RONNIE CLARK
As the head track coach, his teams won 25 of 26 Conference championships and his football teams won eight conference titles and were state runners-up in 1977.
JOE MILLS
His teams won 42 straight junior high football games and won the last Arkansas junior high state track meet in 1973, Coach Mills was named the 1989 NFICA Outstanding Boys Cross Country Coach.
JO ANN CLARK
She is the pioneer of women’s athletics at Berryville High School for basketball, volleyball, track and field and cheerleading.
TOMMY GINN
An all-around standout athlete for the Bobcats who played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks from 1976 to 1980 under legendary coaches Frank Broyles and Lou Holtz. Tom was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round and made the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team as a center in 1980.
