The Beaver Bridge — also known as the Little Golden Gate Bridge — on Arkansas Highway 187 over the White River at Table Rock Lake was closed on Wednesday, Aug. 6, after a bridge inspection, the Arkansas Department of Transportation said in a news release.
The bridge will be closed around the clock until further notice, the news release said.
Weather permitting, the closure will allow crews to repair a steel girder on the bridge. The highway will remain open to local traffic only on either side of the closure.
