The mobile Be Pro Be Proud semi recently made a stop at the North Arkansas College campus in Berryville. This workshop on wheels features customized, interactive demonstrations of various technical careers including welding, HVAC, robotics, construction, truck driving and more!
Simulators and virtual-reality experiences allow guests to step inside 15 different skilled professions virtually, while learning about the careers, job responsibilities and average statewide wages.
Operations coordinator Linda Tamayo was pleased with the turnout.
“The Be Pro Be Proud simulator is a great way to showcase skilled professions and the opportunities that are available to the participants,” Tamayo said. “We are fortunate that Northark offers all of the programs that were demonstrated in the semi. It was a great opportunity to inform students and community members of the programs offered at the Northark Carroll County Center as well.”
