Alpena Elementary School has announced the launch of its new 21st Century Community Learning Centers program, Leopard Academy. This dynamic academic enrichment initiative, designed to support students’ educational and personal growth, will be held on Mondays throughout the school year from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Leopard Academy is a comprehensive program aimed at enhancing the learning experience for students in grades K-6 residing within the Alpena School District. The program offers a broad range of services and activities at no cost to families, making it an accessible resource for all students.
At the heart of Leopard Academy is a commitment to academic tutoring and enrichment. Students will benefit from tailored academic support to help them excel in their studies. Beyond academics, the program provides a variety of enriching opportunities, including nutrition education, health promotion, drug and violence prevention programs, arts and music, physical fitness, gymnastics, STEM education, robotics, educational field trips and more!
Leopard Academy ensures that every aspect of students’ needs is addressed by including transportation, lunch and snacks at no additional cost. This comprehensive approach allows families to fully engage with the program without financial concern.
“Leopard Academy represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing high quality, accessible educational opportunities for all students,” the school said in a news release. “We look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our school community.”
