District Mission: Ensuring high levels of learning for everyone, every day!

Bobcat Families & Community: We’ve had a great start to the school year, and it’s hard to believe we’re already in week six! This week is filled with homecoming excitement as the Bobcats take on Yellville Friday night. The homecoming parade will leave the high school at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, followed by all the traditional celebrations. We hope you’ll join us to cheer on the team and take part in the festivities!

Intermediate fifth graders recently participated in swim lessons at the Berryville Community Center, an opportunity made possible through a grant sponsored by the Berryville Kiwanis Club.

Over the course of four lessons, students developed valuable water safety and swimming skills under the guidance of Carroll County Juvenile Officer Suzanne Villines and Berryville Intermediate PE teacher Keri Foster. This collaboration provided students with not only swimming instruction but also an engaging community- supported learning experience.

If you have a child in elementary school (grades K-2) be sure to read the September newsletter. You will find important information about what your student is learning right now and ways you can help at home.

Johnice Glisson and Sandon Williams, FBLA advisors and middle school teachers, reported 98 students have joined the organization this year. This is an increase of 29 students.

Last year, FBLA students did an amazing job and competed at the national level! We are expecting even greater things this year so be watching for more to come from this group of students.

Reminders • “Lunch with A Loved One” at the Intermediate School is Friday, Sept. 19, beginning with third grade at 10:30 a.m.

• Parent-teacher conferences are Thursday, Oct. 16. Make plans now to attend conferences to check on your student’s progress.

• Transportation changes need to be made by 2:30 p.m. each day. All bus riders who have a transportation change (car rider, going to Grandma’s, etc) must have a note from the office indicating the change.

• Thank you for reminding your child to have their transportation/ cafeteria cards ready to scan each day. Students are doing a great job this year and we appreciate your support with this safety issue.

• Follow our schools and district on social media and be sure you have the BPS Bobcat app downloaded for important announcements and event information.

Thank you for your continued support of the Berryville School District! We are truly grateful for the partnership of our families and community — it makes all the difference for our students. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or feedback.
